Don’t Procrastinate
Five before five
Youth before old age
Health before sickness
Wealth before poverty
Freedom before busyness ness
Life/live before death
I am not going to say that I should take heed of this saying before, but I have lost 3 of it and i am sure not going to waste the other two advice!
I am the youngest of 6 siblings and only one income earner; my dad. Mom was full time housewife but a talented one, if I may say. She’s great cook, excellent tailor and a women of various talents. At one time she could be a caterer, sometimes a tailor who received so many orders for sewing bed spread, traditional clothing and manage weddings events.
We live comfortably, though nothing luxurious. We seldom travel and the time that they have is how to make more money for all their 6 kids.
In my younger days, I dreamed of making so much money that I may go travel to any place my heart desires and in order to do that, I have to work very hard and save.
The first 8 years as a working adult, I was working so hard with Zero savings. Null! Nada, eleck, pochik!! I worked so hard and still I have no savings. Not a single cent!
I only started savings after meeting my dream guy and I started planning my personal finance. I need to be more serious as it’s no longer just about me. I have somebody that I really care and need to carve our future together.
And I am good. Really! I truly believe that getting married enhanced our rizq. I started savings and savings non stop. I don’t mind spending for my family but I did hesitate if it were to spend on myself.
Many times that I wanted to splurge on vacations, but did't do so; too much concern on monetary even though both me and my husband earned very comfortable amount.
It was just not about monetary but also the responsibility that we carries during our career. Some may think that one can leave office matters once you were on leave, but not me or my husband. the only way to leave the responsibilities are to resign from the post! If not, we are stuck with the never ending responsibilities. Anyway, that's another story to tell.
The matter at hand is to enjoy life, travel to see the world. I refrain so much from travelling due to many reasons and some may not even reasonable enough.
I should have travel more when I was younger but I am way passes that now. So, for those of you who are reading this, please… please… take time to enjoy life. Take heed of the advices above.
Mind ya, I’ve missed three. I’m sure as **** do not want to wait for the last two ro happen.
Just do not let your life pass without realising it.
