Making Time

It has been almost a year since I left my career and as mentioned in my earlier blog, time seems to be jealous of me. I was always complaining that I do not have enough time for myself; even after I left my career. I do not have enough time whilst working and I do not have enough time after I left. So what gives? One thing to learn is 'Never Run Away From Problems' it is sure to follow you. What I really need is time management.I really need to relook at my priorities.

Since this is the month of Ramadhan, wherey the Muslims have to fast during the day, and wake up at 4 am to eat breakfast before sunrise, I've decided to make full use of the new timing.  So I have to ensure that I'll manage to have the extra time for myself. Since we can only eat after sunset, I usually starts my cooking later in the afternoon, leaving my morning free and easy. This is the best time to do something for myself such as writing or updating my blog. Well, of course there are loads of clothing that needs washing, houses need to be vacuumed etc etc etc. (Its a eye sore to see all this incomplete chores but STOP!! Set your priorities..) Below are some of the tips that I set to get my priorities right.

  1. Set aside at least 1 hour for you to write per day. This could be early morning, noon or very late at note.
  2. Get the children to help with some house chores. If they can handle the electronic gadgets, hey they can do the house chores.
  3. Cook something simple and don't take too much time in the kitchen.
  4. Eat out!!
  5. Send the clothes for laundry.
  6. Find a topic that you can't wait to share with others.

This is my simple breakfast whilst in Paris recently. It surely beats the Nasi Lemak and Roti Canai that the locals always eat here.
Simple dinner that we ate in Frankfurt Germany. If only the children willing to eat this  instead of daily raice and a few gravies :)
